Very clever. Well done and thanks for documenting the process.

To me, this is the essence of "traditional" archery, you've made a wooden longbow with your own two hands, and then accurately shot it.

I remember 20 years ago when I was learning to shoot, the senior guys at the club used to warn that wooden arrows could shatter, and aluminum was preferred on safety grounds. If any of those guys are still shooting, I bet they are using carbon shafts.

All said and done I would get the impression I would need to hone my arrow making and shooting style to appreciate a better plane of accuracy I'd say so mate. :wink: :lol: A couple of photos for you muntries. Yes, I'm still shooting aluminum arrows, and yes they do bend sometimes.
I guess I'll try carbon arrows one day, but I like the $4 per shaft price point, makes me feel even if I do bend or loose the occasional arrow, I'm still better off. I should stop and check that is true one day

I have one of these in Predator Camo. It's very good, however I do find that it's a little harder to fit the long ILF limbs into it. It's a better fit for medium limbs.

I'm happy with it though, and I'd recommend the item to anyone looking for a compact takedown carry bag.
