Re: No one with half a brain would vote Greens would they ?
As for not voting for a party based on your disagreement with one of their policies, it really depends on the policy, and how closely or directly it effects you. If a party has a raft of fantastic policies, but also have a policy to ban hunting, then I will not vote for them, no matter how good the ...

Re: Newbie
Hi there, I have a Black Widow PL longbow (greybark 60lb at 28") and love it. It is a very smooth draw, as you would probably expect for the amount of reflex/deflex. That being said I started off shoot trad with an internature viper (55lb at 28") and had a lot of success with it, and for t...

Re: No one with half a brain would vote Greens would they ?
There is not much you can do in the house of reps. It will be either the Libs or Labour there and personally I don't really want to vote for either of them, but at the end of the day it will be one or the other. In the senate how ever there are many more choices, have a look at the AEC web site and ...

Re: Does tis sound right to you?
I recently got a black widow longbow, they recommend unstringing after the days shooting, but their recommendations for their recurves are very much in line with the comments from the archery shop you mentioned (ie more damage done from stinging than leaving strung). So to me it sounds like the shop...

Re: Setting up my tillering board
It's a bit crude but I just used some sash cord and two double pulleys from Bunnings to set up a 4:1 system. I used a 100 lb fish scale for the weight measurement and it seems to work OK. You just need some way to secure/lock off the cord. The sash cord is about 8 mm thick and is very un-likely to b...

You can get kaowool in Australia, you should be able to get it from a welding/industrial supplier. BOC might have some and are quite wide spread.

Re: ABA Question
I have shot a few ABA shoots in Victoria in longbow trad with a reflex/deflex longbow and wooden arrows. Basically if the string only contacts the limbs at the nocks then it is a longbow...saying that there has been a little contention with the bows with extreme degrees of reflex/deflex, but in the ...
