Nice pics and beautiful arrows. That's the first time I've seen vented Black Stumps. Actually I just recieved some non-vented Black Stumps from Dr Ashby. I've not field tested them yet. Have you had good success with these heads. They sure look like they are put together very well. CK

Thanks for all the replies! The frog legs are delicious deep fried. Yes, we ate the snake. I still have six or seven in the freezer for eating later. The snakes are not protected here unless they are deemed protected by the Government. Mick, I had an artifact specialist on the hunt with us. He dated...

From the US-Texas Sweat 2006

Well, Im back from the annual hunt Charlie Lamb and I put together each year. This year we had 30 hunters from 16 states and a couple of countries. One guy from Norway even attended. I'll post a few pics today and as I get time I'll post some pics of some of the other successes on this hunt. I think...

I'm very excited about the hunt and meeting all those attending. I'll post pics after the event. The hunters did...

HaaaHaaa! Those pigs in the pics aren't anatomically correct. They seem to have tiny testicles and no teeth. Sissy pigs! You could possibly kill those with blunt tips! Just a joke fellas!!!!! The 1/4 toward you shot is the most failing shot that I've ever taken. I've lost almost every hog I've ever ...

That boy is gonna be a heck of a bowhunter! I still haven't recieved my Bowyers Journal here in the States. Heck, I hunted with the Ed...

I've really been enjoying my daily visits here to Ozbow. I got a nice treat from Australia last night as I picked up the ringing telephone. Cher Lacey and Ed Ashby put in a call. I was smiling the entire time as I listened to the wonderful accent of Cher as she spoke. You Aussies are quite the inter...

I haven't seen the magazine yet but his article is about rabbit hunting with me and some of my friends. The video from that hunt will be for sale ...

I think I'll let Brian write of his adventure and possibly submit mine elsewhere. Brian is a good man! His magazine comes from the heart. Hope you will have a chance to pick...

From the US(weekend adventure)

Good day guys! I just got in from a weekend of hunting in South Texas. I had the Editor of Bowyers Journal come down from way up north and hunt with me. We had a great time and I managed to shoot a few animals. I even tried a Ribteck broadhead from your country. http://www.tradgang.com/upload/ck/IMG...

Sure I will. The bow with the coyote is a bow I built called "the dream keeper". I built if from a well seasoned piece of Osage and placed three layers of buffalo sinew on the back. After final tiller and shoot-in, I covered the back of the bow with common Water Snake skins to enhance the ...

Thank everyone very much. I think you've dispelled some of the mysteries. I certainly understand how rank a big boar can be and I don't even want to thing about eating a big Billy. I raise goats here on my place and have watched goats way too much to be eating and Billy's..... Thanks again, CK

Question on edibility of game

G-Day guys! I have some questions of you guys from Oz... I am working on another article and I need some information on the procedures of handling game you shoot while hunting. It is my understanding that you do not eat the game you shoot while hunting. Please excuse me if I have been led to believe...

Great pics! Id like to ask a few questions about the Dingo. They are very foreign to me but I assume they are equivelant to our Coyote here in the US. Damn annoying creature that kills lots of my livestock and such. Does the Dingo tame well or it it a creature that is forever wild. He looks a lot li...

Paul, the heads I was shooting at the bunnies were ma-3's and bodkins. They are priced about the same as your ribtecks. I find that the cost is the same or less than judo's and manufactured blunts. I'm going to agree with Mick on this one. I shoot over 50 rabbits a year generally. I've got a video comming out later this year where we have at least 50 kill shots of rabbits on video. Multiple style heads were used while we video'd the hunt. One thing I consistantly saw was that the hits that wer...

Paul, "Sweet Spot" is my tracking stick. Less dangerous than guns being shot. It doesn't jam or run out of bullets either. It's bailed me out of several tight spots so far in the last 6 years or so. Works well in tight brush for pushing em off instead of wackin em. Most mad pigs can be sid...

Paul, I just recieved your message and dropped by to check the thread. Feel free to cut and paste from the original if you wish. I believe many of the characteristics remain unchained with hogs no matter what Continent they happen to live on. Lets discuss all those things. Carry on. CK
