Selfbows for the Kids

Evening All, My young fella has been at me to build him a bow - so i built 2. One for him, 3.5yrs, and one for my daughter, 2yrs. I realised the other day it's been almost 7yrs since i built one. 1.jpg The one for my daughter was just a little swampy paperbark branch i whittled down to 40", 3-4...

you can do a lot in post processing. i use Adobe Lightroom 4. it is good for being able to bring back "what was actually there" in sunsets.

have a look on youtube for some tutorials for it and you'll see what you can do with it.

IMO stick to digital. it is much more flexible and vertually free compared to film. results are much more predictable and you can see what you will get there and then, make adjustment, and shoot again. What settings were you using? do you have a tripod? are you shooting with the sun just in the sky ...

you don't have to keep them covered like you do with potatoes to stop the sunlight getting too them and making them poisonous, but otherwise they grow similar.
