Jeff, the embankment behind will catch any wayward arrows .... We have 10 acres, 7 pasture & 3 bush with a gully running thru the bottom, we plan to have a 20 target course (even with a tree stand) but thats a winter job ... here's the view from the other way, the paddocks lead down to the bush,...

Just finished building a fence around the horse menage and while the missus was away I added a some frame work for a target.

we tapped some glow sticks (thin one's like drinking straws) to our arrows one night, looked great in flight (not as good as the fire arrows but a bit safer)

Mick, they all survived , lost one under the tree behind the fox but my son found it after the wand shoot.
Also congrats on the wand win ............
Mububban, the shafts are sitka spruce which have been coated in Danish Oil with a dash of walnut stain for color.

Serpentes, they were printed by laser printer on special decal paper I got from a model aeroplane shop. Then applying them is easy. The time consuming bit was setting up a 'word' document with multiple images on it, beacuse I think you can only run the paper thru the printer once. I have another 140...

Don't worry Mick, I'll give you run for your money.
For the recent Lilydale trad shoot, I unpacked 12 new arrows during the previous week and proceeded to break nine on the Saturday and another two on the Sunday, so hopefully this 12 will last me .... (maybe I should try and hit the targets?)

the nocks are translucent, so I stained the shafts before gluing them on.

I've just finished my first completed set of arrows - they'll be getting their first shoot at Leongatha on sunday, hopefully I'll be bringing most of them home .......

When we lost our home and all of our archery gear in the bushfires, Mark sent my son two replacement targets (cat & rabbit) at no charge !!! - fantastic bloke to deal with, thanks Mark.

I know a doz arrow's is about $120, but to get my spec's I don't mind paying more for the privilege.

Correct Arrow Selection
I've been reading over the last year, all of the posts on 'building' the best arrow to suit yourself. As a newcomer to the 'sport' to get the correct spine, length, point weight, fletches, etc - will be a challange. In golf you can be 'matched' to the clubs by trying different variations to suit you...

Five footed prototype - shatered during finishing work .......
But .... the Twin-Tri Footed prototype worked.
Three 'legs' are 5" long - Three 'legs' are 2" long - now to make one that I can shoot ..........

Steven Fitter & Turner (toolmaker) by trade - at work Ive got a Bridgeport milling machine built for metal work but works well with wood. (in my spare time) A dividing head like a lathe chuck that can be rotated accurately into any number of divisions, x5 , x6 or what ever number you need. I mac...

I've split a rod into five using slitting saw and a dividing head on my milling machine but it wasn't perfect (hence lack of photo) - this bit I'm still working on
