Re: Anyone given this a blat?

Yes I have done this, only I took the tyre off first and I used a egg cup full of petrol. What you must do is you take the valve out, or other wise you could have your tyre in bits and pieces, once the tyre has beeded into the rim then put the valve back in so you can pump it up. Cheers Roadie. You...

Well the new documents arrived. Nearly all correct. Stll got my wifes savings wrong but it must be so hard for a bank employee to read a bank statement, particularly of another institution so we must be fair. And to be even fairer you can understand that even though they screwed up they cannot poss...

My wife has owned 4 Holden Barinas over the last 10 or 11 years without any problems with any of them. Another nice thing is we usually get good money for them on both private sales and trade ins. She has owned both 3 door hatches and 4 door sedans. Just the normal maintenance and they seem to run v...

Australian Aboriginal made archery gear

My electrician has been telling me about these for years. Today he came over to do some work on my solar system and brought them along. I have never seen anything like them but some of you guys may have. He inherited them from his grandfather. He does not know where his grandfather got them. My elec...

Re: Was it a bowshot 2 hours?

Hi Bill, I haven't made a judgement about the archer at this point but I was immediately concerned that this animal took two hours to die. I did make a judgement about selecting that extract. I understand why they did it. It shows the archer privy to an extraordinary and privileged scene. I gave a ...

Re: Was it a bowshot 2 hours?

Chase N. Nocks,
unfortunatly with what little information is provided in your post, there is no way for anyone (who wasnt there or who hadnt read the book) to know why he had to wait 2 hours for his Ram to die.
I personally will reserve judgment until all the facts are in..

Re: Busted bandsaw

I have found with some of my taiwanese knock off tools that if there is a weak spot in the tool I sometimes had to replace it 2 or 3 times. I finally got sick of it and got a local machine shop to make me up a better/beefier part for about the same money as buying an original part. So far I have not...
