Re: Bow customers beware
I'll bring this back to the top of the page, not to whinge but to back up the original sentiment. I ordered a Bigfoot bow which was 4 months late arriving. A few months later the timber shrank and cracked all the glue lines. The advice from the bowyer was to fill them up with superglue and sand it b...

Re: big foot bows for sale
Still for sale. Need a left hand ilf riser and I don't think the wife will appreciate a collection of unused bows sitting in the shed.

kids recurve Sold
Well I suppose this happens a bit. Bought it for my 10 year old ( please Dad, please ) 20 shots later, not interested. I've had this sitting on the rack for 3 months collecting dust so it needs to go to someone that will use it and hopefully enjoy it. Cartel Sirius recurve, 48" long. Has 2 sets...

Re: ILF bows?
I found the shorter limbs, making a 58" bow, a little hard to tune for me to get good arrow flight. A lot of kicking to the left (left hand). Nothing wrong with the limbs but maybe my release? The medium limbs making a 60" feel smoother and, for me at least, give better flight. A longer ri...

Re: ILF bows?
Hi Mick. I decided on an ILF bow when I changed over to left hand. Not knowing the poundage I could handle or bow length or limb style I would like, I didn't want to go down the buy and try road of selling on bows that don't fit me. Got a second hand Trad Tech Titan 17" from our classifieds her...

Re: 10 years of annoying you people!
I've enjoyed reading your posts ( Bows for sale!! ) over the last 8 years that I've been lurking on Ozbow. The target panic info from you has been helpful for me in the respect that I realized there are other people out with it.
Good on you Mick

Re: Lots of blood and a very sore hand.
Mick, I've been fletching Easton alloy arrows with fletchtite for 20 years on and off. Just recently I've had feathers and vanes come off just as you've described. A few people on USA sites posted about the same thing. Different superglue gels have good/bad results. Even a light sand paper and metho...

Re: bows for sale
This Brooks bow is 51#@28" but feels a bit lighter. I'm shooting 1916's cut to 28". I've guessed postage of about $25 but it's been a while(years) since I've posted a long package so if it cost much more we might have to come to an arrangement for extra postage.

Maffra
Just wondering if there is any one around Maffra that wants to have a shot. My shooting is up the creek at the moment with TP and the blokes in my club (Macalister trophy hunters, great people) all have there compounds sighted in at 60 yards! Not a real confidance booster. There's one young bloke in...

This is a long shot. I don't know any one that is into film cameras any more. They are both Minolta 7000 SLR's in working order. The one on the left is older and has a small crack in the caseing. Assorted lenses fit both and a flash for the older one. I'm having a shed clean out of things that have ...

2216 arrows SOLD
I have 13 unused 2216 eastons with vanes that I'll probably never use except for footings on GG 500's. To good to cut up so if anyone wants them $50 posted. They are only 27.5" long so unless you shoot 100lb or a kg up front they will only be good for a wheely bow.

Re: glue line cracks
Good advice Guy. To be fair I've got to let the bowyer see it first hand but at the moment I don't feel like I want the thing back. Have a non refundable deposit with the same bloke so I can see some very exspensive experiance coming up. This is the third new bow in a row from different bowyers that...

Thanks Jeff I work in the building industry and understand movement of different materials but ..... The bowyer is going to dry it out for a couple of days, re glue the lines, sand it and give it 4 coats. We'll see. He hasn't got the bow back yet but that line heading to the locator pin means new ri...

glue line cracks
Hello everyone Need some advice on a 2 month old bow. I hadn't used it for a couple of weeks and a couple of days ago I noticed these cracks appearing in about half the glue lines. I emailed the bowyer and he said the wood is shrinking but the phenolic / G-10 isn't in the dry Aus. climate but no big...

Love the look of the silver tip longbow. The 2-3 week wait reminds you what waiting for christmas was like when you were a kid. Only asked about the shipping because most people use UPS which can be expensive. I need an alternative for a bow I've got over there. Not meaning to hi jack the thread. Ja...

Have a look at the POR15 paint range. They make a marine grade clear. I've used one of their products to seal petrol tanks, it's acid resistant, flexable and can be sprayed.

Re: bob lee recurve-withdrawn
While looking at Comanches' bow for sale, I was thinking I couldn't take a great looking piece like that out in the scrub or in the kayak. So I'd better hang onto the Plane Jane and save up for the next one.
Thanks
